Having a son in junior high I sometimes worry often how to get in touch with my son. To add another household expense was not high on the priority list or the weight of worrying about another phone bill. With tax refunds, I was able to purchase my son a Samsung Galaxy On5 and the Walmart Family Mobile Plus plan. I won't have to worry if my son made it home safely, what time to pick him up from practice and have contact with him in case there is an emergency. With the additional data, my son will have access to the new lesson plans his teachers are incorporating making him a more productive student. My son has voiced to me before that he wants to learn another language to help him in the future. This extra data will allow him to download success apps which I am all for. I know that with the Samsung Galaxy On5 my son will have more responsibility and be vulnerable to potential risk but this will be a lesson for my son. I am willing to take a chance and use my tax refund to give my son a little freedom and a safety net for me!
One of my main concerns with getting my son a phone was the possibility of him misusing the data. I knew that he would need a plan with enough data to add apps and go on the internet to research for his classwork. To stretch our tax dollars my husband and I decided to go with the Samsung Galaxy On5 and the Walmart Family Mobile PLUS Plan. The plan is perfect for me and my family and only $49.88 a month. With it's
Setting up the Samsung Galaxy On5 was a breeze and my son had his phone up and running in no time. Since Family Mobile bills you later, you only have to pay $19.88 for the SIM Kit when you sign up and no additional activation which was a highlight for us to stretch our tax refund. There's no hidden upfront cost, all you need to do is purchase the SIM Kit and your all set!
The Samsung Galaxy On5 is the perfect choice for my son it retails for $119. Right at his fingertips, he has access to applications with 8GB of internal memory and a card slot that is expandable up to 128GB he can store all his music and photos on his phone. With the additional storage he can now have his own apps for a dictionary to look up words he is not familiar with, a timer to time his mile in physical education, listen to music while he runs and can learn a second language. And one happy momma who doesn't have to share her phone!
Our family loves to relax and lounge on the weekends watching our favorite movies. My son was pretty excited he gets a free movie every month with VUDU ($7 value the same as a new release rental). We can watch it on our Smart TV and enjoy our family nights watching our favorite picks.
I decided to go with the Walmart Family Mobile Plus plan because you can cancel at any time. There are no contracts, which is a topic we often discussed. The data plan gives my family the greatest value for our tax dollars which made me feel comfortable about giving my son the Samsung Galaxy On5 and creating a safety net for myself and my husband.
